The Staff
All our staff are very carefully selected. We steer away from unknown temporary agency workers and use a bank of staff we have personally vetted, alongside the standard required checks. We consult our housemates during our selection process. There is no point in employing someone that the housemates do not connect with. The relationship between support worker and service user is key to our success in providing quality, safe, secure and invisible level of care to our housemates.At present we have a bank of 9 regular staff and 2 temporary. Each of them brings with them their own individual experiences, strengths and skills. Not only does this help with the provision of excellent support but also helps the service user learn by example.
To achieve the level of support we aim for we use our staff to encourage our housemates to try new activities and experiences. Our staff will take our housemates wherever they wish to go. We respect our service users as any other adult would expect to be treated that's why our staffing rota fits around the lifestyle of our housemates.
Our staff excel in their ability to provide support to people with learning disabilities. Each one possesses that extra quality that can't be learnt. As a business we take great pride in our team here.
